Services: FAQsWhat are the different things I can sign up for?
When you are in the room for MODELING, what do I do? The Instructional Tech Coach’s job is to provide job-embedded professional development. I am in the room to help show you how instructional tools work in the context of a lesson. When I am modeling the lesson, you should be an active participant – listening, learning, and doing along with the students. What topics can I request for you to model? You can request just about anything. I have all of the standards and am willing to step in for whatever curriculum topic you need! When you schedule the event, just list the instructional topic you’re interested in. You don’t need to suggest a tool for the content unless there’s something specific you’re interested in using. |
What happens after I schedule something?
Once I see your event, I will send you an e-mail to get more details from you. Depending on the topic, I may need to know what levels you have in your room, or where you are with that unit. I’ll be sure to ask the questions I need to plan appropriately for your lesson.
Do I need to schedule the technology checkout?
Based upon the needs of the lesson, I will check out either the iPads or lap tops for you.
If I feel comfortable with what I’m doing, but need a little support, what do I do?
You may feel pretty good about your ability to get through your tech lesson, but want some back-up just in case something goes wrong. Schedule a co-teaching session and let me know that when I contact you. I’m happy to be there as a support!
